What is a MUD?
A Municipal Utility District (MUD) is a political subdivision of the State of Texas and is granted certain powers by the Texas Legislature. In recent years the State has broadened these powers to include the provision of parks and recreational facilities.

Administration
Northampton MUD is administered by a five member Board of Directors composed of property owners of the District. For more information about our Board of Directors and our operations click here.

Staff
Our staff consists of a General Manager, office and maintenance staff. For more information click here.

Consultant Directory
The Board of Directors hires consultants and contractors to operate the facilities.
Financials
The District is authorized to finance the acquisition or construction of water supply and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and storm drainage facilities (the "System") with the proceeds of bonds, which the District sells at competitive sale to bond underwriters. The System facilities provide the infrastructure necessary to provide District residents and customers with drinking and irrigation water, the ability to flush their toilets, and the means to drain storm water from the land located within District's boundaries.
