Parks and Recreation Facilities
Northampton's Parks & Recreation facilities are owned, maintained, and operated by the Northampton Municipal Utility District (MUD). Our facilities include two swimming pools, eight lighted tennis courts, and a fitness center which are available to which are available to paid users.
In addition the parks include two playgrounds which are located at the Inway and Northcrest sites. A restroom and bath house are located near the Northcrest playground and park. Two large pavilions are located next to the Northcrest swimming pool. Each are wheelchair accessible. In addition a barbeque area is next to the pool and park.
Centre Park, located adjacent to the MUD building and the Northcrest facility, is complete with a waterfall and creek including a hakf-mile walking and jogging path around the lake. A small pavilion is lake side may be reserved and is wheelchair accessible.



West Park, a twelve acre park with a stocked five acre lake, is located at the front of Northampton, just west of Northcrest Drive. The lake is surrounded by an outside loop trail which is 1.0 miles and an inner loop trail of .75 miles. Additionally there are benches, bird house, and several varieties of trees planted throughout the park. A small pavilion and a larger multi-use pier may also be reserved.
All pavilions may be reserved for private use. The facilities also include two buildings available for rent. The pools may be reserved for rental as well. Please click here for more information concerning reserving pavilions or renting buildings.
Wading, swimming and boating are not permitted. Playgrounds, parks, and related equipment are available to all Northampton residents from daylight to dark. A "Catch & Release" program for the lakes is in effect.
